It is with a heavy heart I share the passing today of Mikey, from Osteosarcoma. He was purchased as a "pet", my first dog from a
reputable breeder.  He went WAY beyond what he was originally told he would do.  He first earned his CD from Novice A, then
taught me to be a much better dog trainer as we had major stay problems and conquered them to get his CDX.  He was trained all the
way through Utility, but his hips and elbows started bothering him, so he was retired with dignity.  Along the way, he was a Canine
Ambassador extroidinaire, who delighted hundreds of Public School children and nursing home residents with his exuberant manner
and loving disposition. I can still see him walking down past rows of children, with all the different color of hands coming to pat him
as he shared the love. He didn't see anyone's color or handicap, he just saw another person to love. He also managed to start my
daughter, Caroline, on a dog showing career that will carry her to the Eukanuba Championships this weekend. I can still see her 10
year old face when she won her first Novice Junior Class, and then when she finished her Novice Junior wins, she was so excited she
jumped in the air, and Mikey accidentally pulled her down.  He ran over to see if she was OK.
He was a "goober" dog to the very end.  Rest well my best friend, and go run and play with your dear friend, Gracie who passed
away just one month ago. You helped me make it through her death, and held on until our new baby Amelia came into our lives.
THANK YOU!!!  You were a very good boy.
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
